About Us
The “Puglia Holidays” business project is an idea of Domenico Sgobba and the main goal of it is to transform his long travel experience in Europe into tourist activity.
In fact, Mimmo works as coach driver and has gained lots of experience along his travels. He has understood the hospitality culture in other countries, than he realized the desire “to make tourism" in the beautiful Puglia, starting from his homeland, the wonderful Itria Valley, also known as the Trulli’s valley.
From this idea, he started to settle the “Puglia Holidays” website which aim is to organize alternative touristic routes for those visitors who love discover landscapes by bike or on foot.
Puglia Holidays staff is happy to welcome you offering packages for a weekend up to fifteen days.
Mission
Our staff work with passion and dedication for the cultural project “Puglia Holidays” that let visitors discover the most beautiful places in Puglia riding a bike.
Puglia is one of the most beautiful region in the world, a land that offers a variety of itineraries for all tastes. Our job is to organize trips and welcome visitors by offering them a number of travel packages diversified.
We are based in the charming Itria Valley, the heart of Puglia region, halfway between the Ionian and Adriatic sea, a place rich in art cities, nature, “trulli”, manor farms, good kitchen and events.
We believe that slow tourism is the best way to discover our land and it allow tourists to spend time listening, observing, smelling, tasting and talking with people in a slowly manner.
In this way, we offer a properly eco-friendly experience that certainly is possible climbing into a bike saddle or on foot, out of the din of modernity, following ancient paths or even dirt roads.
Through our touristic paths, it is possible to reach different tiny villages, crossing the country land, following the old road network of sheep tracks and trails.
The strength of our tours
The itineraries are carefully planned in order to be original even when you visit well-known destinations. With our paths is possible to discover the countryside where you can enjoy landscapes less contaminated by modernity.
Each path is divided into stages with the visit to trulli, manor farms, castles, towers, marine parks and reserves. Along our paths, there are sample stops in order to taste food and wine throught the visits to dairies, wine cellars, olive oil mill, bakeries, pasta factories and laboratories dedicated to culinary arts and crafts. Therefore our aim is to organise you a properly experience with our tours.
The Puglia Holidays staff is qualified to ensure excellent organization from your arrival until your departure including the service, if required, of tours with experienced guides certified by the Puglia Region.
